金ホイル紙で、今井雄大さんの「ハリネズミ」を折りました！
サイズは35cm×35cm。
I made "Hedgehog" designed by Yudai Imai, with a 35cm×35cm foil paper.
さて、一体何匹いるのでしょうか？

11匹です！
Eleven!!!
いやぁ、さすがに疲れました。
でも、ここまで集まると壮観ですね！
つい色々遊びたくなっちゃいます。
As expected I had a hard time.
But it's spectacular when they gather so far!
Don't you just feel like playing with them, right?
そして偶然にも…
愛用しているサーモマグが、ハリネズミじゃないかッ！
友人が社会人になって初めて企画・販売に携わった製品。
内側がコーヒー色になるくらい酷使してます。
（ペンギンもあるよ。）

There's Hedgehog in my favorite mug too!
The first product that he has been involved in planning and sales since he got a job.
I love it, and use it so much that the inside is dyed in coffee color.

このハリネズミ達は現在、足立区の「竹の塚図書館」に展示されています。
以前、バラの企画展でお世話になった「CAFE RICCO」さんのお取り計らいで、１年半ぶりにご一緒させていただく事に。
These Hedgehogs are now exhibited at Takenotsuka Library in Adachi-ku, Tokyo.
CAFE RICCO, that we had a joint exhibition of "Sato Rose" together in 2020, fortunately invited me again.
期間は９月７日（火）〜１１月２４日（水）。
東武スカイツリーライン「竹ノ塚駅」から徒歩５分、竹の塚地域学習センターの３階です。
開館時間や休館日などは、公式HPをご確認ください。
The exhibition period is 7 Sep(Tue) - 24 Nov(Wed).
The 3rd floor of Adachi-Takenotsuka center, a 5-minutes walk from "Takenotsuka Station" on Tobu Skytree Line.
Check above website for information such as opening hours & closed days.
このご時世、あまり「来て来て！」.と言えないのが心苦しいですが…

さて、作品の解説です。
■作者：今井雄大さん
■出典：新世代 至高のおりがみ
もともと展開図と制作動画だけ公開されていたものが、2018年12月にめでたく書籍化されました。
Now, I'll explain this model.
Designer: Yudai Imai
Textbook: New Generation of ORIGAMI
Originally this model had been publicized only CP and YouTube video online, fortunately published as a book in Dec 2018.
「一般書籍最高レベル」と名高いテキストの中での難度は★★★★⭐︎（星４つ）。
個人的には「かなり素直」な折り図で、上級者向けにしては折りやすい作品だと思いますが、やはりそれなりに難しいです。
「折ったけど、上手くいかない」
「これから折りたいけど不安」
といった人向けに、ポイント解説を作ってみました。
他にも色々ありますが、とりあえず書ける範囲で。
もちろん私見ではありますが。ご質問はお気軽にどうぞ！
It's famous as "The highest difficulty of general textbooks", and this Hedgehog has four stars (level 4) out of five.
"I tried but couldn't well"
"Want to try but I'm anxious"
I wrote some commentaries for such players, as far as I can do now.
Although those are all my personal view, feel free to ask any questions.
■折り筋をまっすぐ付けるには
長〜い折り筋をつける際、端の方をシュッと払うように折っていませんか？
紙はけっこう伸びるので、よく見ながら折らないと、微妙にカーブしてしまう可能性があります。
こういう時は、ポイント（定点）を何箇所か決めておくと良いです。
「ココからココまではまっすぐ」と、短めに区切りをつけながら折ると、歪みも最小限に抑えられます。
■How to make a crease straight
When you make a long crease, don't you fold the edges like swiping away?
Paper stretches unexpectedly, so crease may curve slightly without careful observation.
In this case, you should set some check points.
"Fold straight between this point & this point"
In this way, fold while separating the whole line, distortion can be minimized.
■工程14のナナメ線
上の方、１：２の比率で付ける線に注目です。
テキストでは「谷折り」になっていますが…
この線を使う工程55では「山折り」になっています。
テキスト通り谷折りにした方が折り筋を付けやすいのですが、余裕のある方は山折りで仕込んでおいた方が後がラクでしょう。
ちなみに、実は工程11の根本も同様なのですが、ここは先端（前足部分）の２マスが谷折り（テキスト通り）の向きなので、どちらでも良い気がします。
■Diagonal lines in step14
Look at the upper lines made at 1:2 ratio.
The direction is "valley fold" in textbook...
But this line will be used as "mountain fold" in step 55.
It's easy to make creases "valley" along the textbook, but if you make it "mountain", you may feel easy at later step.
If you can afford to do, try it!
By the way, this matter is the same in the root of step11's line. However, this line's upper end (becomes front legs) will be used as "valley" (same as textbook), so I think either is fine.
■鼻先は先に仕込むべし
テキストでは工程70-72で作る、鼻先のパーツ。
ここは、工程42の直後、43をやる前に折っておくのをオススメします。
この段階でやれば、70-72のように立体的に展開する必要がなく、43で中割り折りするだけでお鼻ができちゃいます。
上記の写真は、書籍が出る前に私が自力で解読したもの。参考にしてみてください。
■Make nose tip in advance
In the textbook, nose tip is made in step71-72. But I suggest that you prepare it before step43, just after step42.
If so, you don't need to expand three-dimensionally like step70-72, you can complete nose tip just by doing "inside reverse fold" in step43.
The above diagram is deciphered by myself, before textbook was released. Refer to them!
■最後はノリ入れ
好みが分かれるところでありますが、私はガッツリ接着しました。
◯前脚・後脚
山折りするだけなので、ノリ入れないとすぐ内股になっちゃうんですよね。
◯鼻先
ガバッと横に開きがちなので、ピタッと接着。
◯顔のうしろ
ここも時々浮くので、念のため。
◯（気になるようなら）後脚の真上あたり
■Glue at the end
Although there are various view, I glued some parts firmly.
◯Front & rear legs
These parts tends to be unfolded inward without glue, because they are just mountain-folded.
◯Nose tip
It expands horizontally, so I glued firmly.
◯Behind head
They also tend to peel off, so I did just in case.
◯(If you care) above rear legs
■きれいに保つために
普通の紙で折ると、蛇腹に畳んだ背中がブワッと開いてしまいます。
百科事典などの強烈プレスを定期的にやるか、手帳に（無理矢理）はさむなどの対策をしましょう。
今回のように、弾力がないホイル紙なら、かな〜り長持ちします。
薄いので、プレスもしやすいです。
ハリネズミは「沈め折り」などの複雑な折り方が出てこないので、クシャクシャになる危険性もそれほどないでしょう。
今回使った35cmホイルなら、Amazonで買えます。
■To keep proper shape
If you make this model with a standard paper, the body which is bellows-folded may expands extremely wide.
In that case you should take measures that press hard by using heavy weight sometimes, or put in a notebook (forcibly) on a daily basis.
Like today's case, if you use a foil paper, you can keep the ideal shape for a long .time.
It's also thin, easy to fold overlapping layers.
Hedgehog doesn't need complex techniques like "sink", so there is not much risk of paper wrinkles when using foil.
