Today I'll show you my Origami class held this month.
読売新聞の地域欄で私たちの活動をご紹介いただいたこともあり、何組か新しい方がお見えになりました。
このご時世、あまり大勢で集まるわけにはいきませんが、嬉しいものですね。
Some new families participated, thanks to our activity being published in a major newspaper.
I was happy even in recent situation with COVID that we hardly meet in large members.
ということで、参加された方々の素敵な作品たちをご紹介！

☘️７月前半／July① (usual class)☘️
この日は、いつもの定期講座。
新たに私の職場関係の方が２組、親子で参加してくださいました。
Two new families joined, they're related to the company I belong.
一番人気だったのは、布施知子さんのユニット。
テキストは、以前にも何回か紹介した「はじめてでも組める くす玉おりがみ」です。

The most popular model was "Kusudama", the unit origami, in textbook by Tomoko Fuse. I've introduced several times before.
最初に載っている作品「マカロン」は、初心者の方でも色々な形にチャレンジできます。
中心を折らずに組めるサイコロに始まり、最後は一番大きな30枚組。
15cmで作ると、こんなに迫力が出るんですね。
"Macaron" the first lineup, can be tried various shape patterns for all beginners.
They began with Cube, the easiest which consists of 6 parts.
Then a girl challenged it by 30 parts. She made it with 15cm papers, so it became too big!
そして久しぶりの登場、ちなちゃん。
初めて講座に来た時には小学５年生だった彼女も、今は中学２年生です。
背も伸びて、大人っぽくなりました。
In addition, Chinatsu-chan.
I introduce her for the first time in a long time.
She's now 2nd grade of junior high school student, but she was 5th grade of elementary school student when she joined my class for the first time.
She has grown tall and seems to be more mature than before.
作品も大人っぽく…
というか、大人顔負けのハイブリッドティーローズです。
素材はヴィヴァルディのPRIMARY BLUE。
遠心中割り折りもバッチリ。花びらの分離もなく、中心もしっかり渦になっています。お見事です！
Her work is also mature like herself...
No, her "Hybrid tea rose" is amazing enough that beats the adults!
The material is "Vivaldi PRIMARY BLUE".
She finished all petals beautiful, and they're not separated from each other, and the center is curled regularly. Great!
☘️７月後半／July② (open class)☘️
この日は公民館からの依頼により、地元の小学校向けのイベントとして開催しました。
I held this class as an open event for our local elementary school, at a request of public hall.
公民館長は、かつて「あじさい折り」をたくさん見せてくれた、あの館長さんです。
いつもありがとうございます。

I'm always grateful for his help in our activity.
メインの題材は、くわばらさよこさんの「かきごおり」。
月刊おりがみ504号（2017年7月号）の作品です。
ほどよい難度で、サクッと作れるのが良いですね。
着せ替えができるのも大きな魅力で、みんな思い思いのバリエーションを楽しんでいました。

Today's main model is "Shaved ice" designed by Sayoko Kuwabara.
It's in Monthly ORIGAMI Magazine No.504 (Jul.2017).
I like its moderate difficulty. The participants enjoyed their favorite color combinations.
(I've already been given permission to take children's photos from their parents.)
また、定期講座のメンバーの方が、この日のために参加者プレゼントを用意してくれました。
華やかなトレーと和傘です！
「どれにする？」「こっちがいい！」
部屋に入るとすぐに、目を輝かせてプレゼントを選ぶ子供たちの姿が印象的でした。
And more, one of my regular class members prepared wonderful participation prizes. Gorgeous trays & umbrellas!
"Which one to choose..." "I like this!"
As soon as children entered, they ran to an array of colorful gifts with excitement.
想像よりたくさんの方にお越しいただき、なかなか手が回らなかったのですが、スタッフの方のご尽力のおかげで何とか切り盛りすることができました。ありがとうございました。
More people came than I expected and it was difficult to manage, but thanks to many staffs, I could. I want to express gratitude to them!

というわけで、まさにぃの最近の活動でございました。
消毒後に手をしっかり拭いたつもりでも、ど〜しても紙が湿ってしまうのが悩みどころ。
あとは、扇風機で空気をかき回すと、紙が飛んでしまうんですよね。
展示したドラゴンがぶっ飛んで大変でした。
皆さんも同じ悩み、ありますよね！？
I showed my recent activites.
I'm annoying that we have to sterilize hands. No matter how much we wipe, papers get wet when touched.
And more, papers are blown away when I use an electric fan for ventilation.
It was terrible that my dragon flied away!
Everyone may have the same trouble...
相変わらず制約が多い中での開催ですが、おかげさまで元気にやっております。
皆さんの中で、「こんな工夫をしてるよ！」という方がいらっしゃいましたら、ぜひ教えてください。
Despite various restrictions, we're doing well.
