今日のモデルは八角形のブローチ。
Abrahamさん創作の「おはな」です。
規則的に畳まれた点対称のらせんは、無地のままでも構造美が引き立ちます。
Today I'll introduce is an octagonal brooch, "Ohana(Flower)" designed by Abraham.
Point symmetrical spiral that is folded regularly, it flatters the structural beauty.

You must play a lot.
綿密な仕込みや多重らせんの構造がやや手ごわいけれど、終盤にパカっと花開くシーンは感動的です。
You may struggle with meticulous preparation of creases or multiple layers of spirals, but the scene that center flower opens is so impressive.
アレンジの幅が広いのも魅力のひとつ。
少し折り方を変えるだけで、まったく違う形に変身します。
Twitterでは多くのバリエーションが出回っていますが、私もいくつか作ってみました。
This model can be deformed into any shapes, just by changing a few points.
There're countless variations on Twitter, so I also tried.
まずは簡単なやつ。
四隅を反転させて白色を出し、最後の中割り折りを省略したバージョン。
初めから裏返しても、完成後にひっくり返してもOKです。
また、最後の中割り折りも省略し、尖ったままにしています。
簡単な割に見栄えがガラッと変わるのでオススメです。
（写真は、中心付近のヒダも少し改造してます）
First, the simple example.
Exposing the white side by turning 4 corners over.
You can turn the white side either at the end or at the beginning.
And more, skipping the last inside reverse fold on the tips.
These processes are easy but eye-catching.
(This model is deformed the center pleats)
次のバリエーションは、４つのカドを反転させつつ、全てのカドを尖らせたもの。
折りっぱなしだと浮いてしまうので、ヒダの内部から折り込んでロックしています。
さらに、裏面の折り筋を使って底を浮かせることで立体感を出しました。
Next model I sharpened every tip while keeping the 4 corners white.
I locked the creases from the inside not to be unfolded.
And I floated the body by making the structures on the back side stand.
余談ですが、緑のやつが４本の足で立っているように見えるのは、
○正方形の四隅を折り込んで二枚重ねになったカド（白い方。かたく折れにくい）
○元から一枚のカド（色付きの方。柔らかく折れやすい）
これらの構造が交互に存在するためです。
前者は突っ張る力が強く、下方向に反り返ります。一方で後者はやや反りるものの前者ほどではない。
結果的に前者のみ接地するので、不思議とテーブルのように安定して立つわけです。
By the way, the reason why the green one seems to stand on 4 foots,
○2 layered tips with folded square corner (The white sides, hard to fold)
○Originally single layered tips (The colored sides, easy to fold)
These structures are placed alternately.
The white sides are firm and tend to be curved. On the other hand the colored sides are relatively not.
As a result only white sides touch the ground, so it stands steady like a table.
で、結局そいつをいじくり回してこうなりました。
After processing thoroughly it became like this.
続いて、カミキィさんの「抗菌おりがみ」を使ってみましょう。
まずは赤系のマーブル。
らせん構造を全面的にアピールてみました。
Next, I tried with "Antibacterial Origami" produced by Kamikey.
I expressed authentic spiral with red one.
次に青系。
中心の沈め折りを省略して、トンガリを出したまま開いています。
色々と手を加えるうちに…
In the blue one, I kept the center pointed by skipping open sink.
And after adjusting the parts...
こんな形に落ち着きました。
昔の貴族が首につけるアレみたいだ…
It looks like the item that medieval nobles wear around their neck...
作れば作るほど、新しいバリエーションが生まれそうです。沼です。
The more we make, the more ideas will come.
So fascinating!

Do you know the event "year end Origami festival" on Twitter, while "KOUHAKU", red & white year-end song festival were held.
It has been almost an annual popular event and I also I also offered some works, that I made in 2022.
毎年このイベントの音頭をとってくださるのが、この「おはな」を考案したAbrahamさん。いつもありがとうございます。
