縁起良い紅白のウサギちゃんです！
The first model I introduce in 2023 is...
Commemorating the zodiac, rabbit!
福祉事業所からノベルティ制作の案件をいただき、無事に30個をお届けいたしました。
昨年の「とらねこ」に続き、２年連続の御依頼。ありがとうございます。

Welfare company requested me to make 30 rabbit novelties for clients, and I done.
Continuing from last year, I appreciate to the relationship!
モデルは伝承作品の「うさぎ」。
色々なウサギを探しましたが、結局コレに行き着いたんですよね。
ちょこんとかわいい立ち姿、小さなシッポ、シンプルながら特徴をとらえた造形。
赤く大きな耳は、紙の裏面を活かした「インサイドアウト」の典型例です。
一枚の正方形から流れるような曲線を演出できるのも、折り紙の奥深いところですね。
This rabbit is a traditional model, I decided to adopt it after searching various existing ones.
Tiny & cute appearance, short tail, and simple but characteristic shape.
Large red ears are typical example of "Inside out", using back side of the paper.
It's a depth of origami that we can express the stream lines from one square paper.
素材はトーヨーの赤単色。
大量生産にもってこいの製品です。
余っても色々な作品に使えるから、あって困ることはありません。家に１セットあると安心感があります。
The material is red monochromatic producted by TOYO company.
It's the best for mass-production.
The surplus can be used various models, so I recommend you have at least one.
15cmで作ると手乗りサイズになるのも、このモデルの嬉しいポイント。
If making from 15cm paper, it can sit on the hand. I like it!
総じて、何もかも「ちょうどいい」作品です！
おうち時間のお供に、プレゼントに。皆さんもぜひ一度折ってみませんか？

さて、せっかくなので小話をひとつ。
ウサギちゃんの「耳」に着目してみましょう。
By the way, I'll show you some tips.
Let's focus on "ears".
皆さんは最後に耳の内側を開く際、上のスキマと下のスキマ 、どっちを開いていますか？
When opening inside the ear, which gap do you insert your finger in, upper side or lower?
折紙講師の参考書「折り紙４か国語テキスト100」によると、「下のスキマ」を開くのが正しいようです。
ちょっと画像を拝借して、詳しく見てみると…

According to the origami instructor's reference book, the answer is "lower side".
Observing the detail in textbook, the direction that white arrow points is...
拡大してみましょう。
そう、「下のスキマ」になっています！
Magnifying, it's exactly the lower side!

I summarized in one picture to understand easily.
この作品、実は折紙講師の資格試験100作品のうち、63番目の課題なんですよね。
で、何を隠そう。
ワタクシ自身が間違えて「上のスキマ」で開いて提出し、審査時に減点された思い出があるのです。
Actually this model is nominated for the 63th of 100 subjects, in origami instructor's qualification exam.
And I shamefully I opened the upper side and was deducted in the exam.
まぁ、講師を目指す人は気にしなきゃいけないんですけど。
よほどこだわる人でなければ、そこまで神経質にならなくても大丈夫かと思います。
楽しくやれればオッケー！というのが正直なところ。
Anyway it's a little thing and you don't have to be nervous unless you aspire to be an instructor or want to pay attention in detail.
Honestly it's Okay if fun!
ちなみに教科書どおりの開き方をした方が、上の方が厚くなり、しっかりとした輪郭に見えます。
（注意点は後述します）
実践するにあたり、私の資料が参考になれば幸いです。

もう一つありました。
耳をガバッと開く際、すぐ戻ってしまう事はありませんか？
もともと側面をしっかり折らない設計なので、やむを得ないところです。
Another advice.
When you open the ears, they may be unfolded soon.
Originally the structure doesn't need to be folded firmly, it may be unavoidable.
これは私のアレンジなのですが、
①上側の「根本側」を折ってしまう
②中心から先に向かうラインは、折るんだけど先端に向かって折り目を弱くしていく
うん。
分かりづらいね。
写真を見た方が早いっす。
This is my own idea,
①Fold the the upper side firmly, only in the basepoint.
②Make the crease weak gradually, towards the tip.
You may can't see specifically, so I'll show the picture.
その際、耳をタテ方向にＶ字に折るわけですから、端っこにしわ寄せがいき歪みやすくなります。
あらかじめ強めにプレスして、平たくしておくと良いでしょう。
In that case you must fold the ears vertically and the edge may be wrinkled.
So it's better to press firmly and make the structure flat.

おまけ。
我が家に来ていた友人が「折りたい」というもんだから、一緒にウサギ作ったんです。
その際、みんなで絵柄ものをチョイスしました。
Digression.
One day my friends stayed our home and said "We want" so I made the rabbits together.
At that time we all chose various patterns of papers.
うん、中々かわいいですね。
ポートレートモードの恩恵もあり、キレイな写真が撮れました。
Yes, they're pretty.
I could take good photos thanks to the portrait mode.
さて。
ここまでは良かったのですが。
問題はその直後に起こりました。
「ステージ照明モードにしたら、どうなるんだろう」
But there was a problem.
What will happen taking in stage light mode?
思いつきで切り替えてみたところ、浮かび上がったのは…
どーん！
When I took on a whim, it appeared.
画質はいいんだけど、圧倒的怪しさ。
黒マナを３点出す禁止カード「暗黒の儀式」を催しているような光景ッ！！！
Image quality is high but overwhelmingly creepy!
A scene that holds "Dark Ritual", the banned card that adds 3 manas!
昔話「飯食わぬ女房」的なアレに見えなくもない。
あわてて天井裏に隠れたと思ったら、
「アイツどうやって食べようか」
「釜茹でじゃね？」
とかいう会話を目撃したかのようなワンシーン。
中心は左の青いヤツ（俺が作った）に違いありません。
When hid in the attic,
"How we cook him?"
"I like boiling"
A scene "they" are talking about that.
The main culprit must be the blue man (I made).
爽やかな空間で戯れる様子から、黒魔術のようにダークな雰囲気まで。
明にも暗にも振れ幅いっぱいのiPhoneなのでした。
From playing at a fresh space, to the dark atmosphere like a black magic.
Darkness & light, iPhone has so various functions.
