今日はイベントレポートです！
Welcome to Atelier masanii.
Today I'll report an Origami event!
今月、市内に約10か国＆30名の方々が１週間ほど日本に滞在し、日本の青年たちと交流する企画がありました。
ホームステイ、社会学習、観光などを経て、土曜日には大きな会場を貸し切ったイベントが行われたのですが、私はそこで折り紙のワークショップを担当させていただきました。
This month international exchange was held that 30 foreign guests from 10 countries stayed about a week and interacted with Japanese youths.
After homestay, social learning, and sightseeing, on weekend a party was held by renting out a large hall. I held origami workshop there.
会場には総勢100人近くの参加者が集まり、それはもう大盛況！
微力ながらも、彼らの企画に華を添えることができて嬉しく思います。
There're over 100 participants and it was so lively! I'm happy to contribute to their efforts.
いざ始まると、撮影するヒマがほとんどなかったのですが、多くの方から写真をご提供いただきました。
講座のレポートと併せて、当日の雰囲気をお楽しみください。
Although I didn't have much time to take pictures, staffs send some to me later.
So I'll show you a report and you can enjoy some of its mood.

ワークショップは10人前後のグループが複数のブースを巡る形式で、折り紙のほか、クッキー作りや百人一首、ゲームコーナーなどのプログラムが盛りだくさんでした。
The overall workshop was that 10 people visit each program. There were not only origami but also cookie making, Karuta cardgame, and various contents.
それぞれの滞在時間は約10分。
折り紙をやるにはそこそこタイトだったので、簡単に作れる「ハート」「シャツ」2種類を用意しました。
Each program had 10 minutes and it's pretty tight for origami, so I prepared "Heart" "Shirt" that can be made easily.

日本人＋外国人の合同チームだったので、英語を交えてのレクチャーとなりましたが…
私自身そこまで喋れるわけじゃないし、わちゃわちゃした会場でのワンオペはなかなか大変。
そこで活躍してくれたのが、アシスタントとして参加してくれた高校生の皆さんでした。
Team members are made up of Japanese & foreigners, so I lectured in both languages.
However I can't speak English enough and it'll be tough to operate in lively situation.
Then the local high school students joined and helped us a lot.
事前に折り紙用語の簡単な英訳＋折り方のレクチャーをした程度だったのですが、持ち前のパワーとノリ、人当たりの良さで講座を盛り上げてくれました。
特に、私が実演する隣で声を出してくれた彼。
アドリブでここまで動ける突破力には脱帽です。
他のメンバーも、慣れない参加者を手厚くサポートしてくれて大助かりでした。
初心者の方には、やはりマンツーマンが一番効きます。
Even though I just told them some English words in origami and how to make each model in brief, they livened up a lot with their inherent vitality and bright vibes.
Especially I express my respect to a guy that he explained properly next to me. It's amazing that he can operate perfectly in spite of his first origami lesson.
The other assistants supported the inexperienced participants politely.
It' the best way to teach one-on-one for beginners.
グループに混ざって参加してくれた中学生の皆さんも、ご自身でも折りつつ、所々で外国人メンバーにアドバイスしてくれました。
Junior high school students who participated with foreigners also advised to them while playing by themselves.
あらゆる場面で中高生の皆さんにアシストしていただき、本当に感謝です。
彼らの活躍がなければ、この場を乗り切ることはできなかったでしょう。
Students assisted me every time and I'm really grateful for them.
I'm sure that I couldn't manage without their help.

90cmクラフト紙で作る「飾り兜」は予想以上に好評で、色々な方にかぶってもらえました。
実は来月の講座でも使うため、イベント後に返してもらう予定だったのですが…
The masterpiece made of 90cm craft paper was unexpectedly popular and many people wore it.
Actually I'm going to use it in the next seminar, so I didn't mean to give...
「あれ、カブトどこ？」
「（外国人ゲストが）欲しいって言うからあげちゃいました」
え、そうなの！？
"Where's the helmet?''
"I presented to the guest because he wanted."
Really!???
いや、この笑顔を見たらダメですね。
また作るわ！
どうぞ持ち帰ってくださいませ！！！

にぎやかし用に持ち込んだギャラリーもなかなか好評でした。
佐藤ローズと、神谷さんのエンシェントドラゴンはインパクト抜群で、相変わらずの人気です。
Some of my works which I brought as display was also well received.
Sato rose and Ancient Dragon were outstanding popular.
特に喜んでくれたのが、もともと折り紙が大好きという中１の女の子。
ワークショップにも付いてくれて助かりました。経験者がいると、やはり心強いですね。
「川崎ローズを折りたい」と言ってくれたものの、今回は時間がなかったので、ウチの定期講座にもぜひ参加してもらえたらと思います。
（ちなちゃん、出番ですよ！）
Especially a junior high school girl was impressed. She originally loves origami.
And she supported the workshop.
It was so reliable to run with experienced player like her.
She wanted to make "Kawasaki rose" but there wasn't enough time, so I suggested to join my regular origami class.
(It's your turn Chinatsu!)
弟さんもしっかり作品に食いついてくれて良かったです。車に満載して持ち込んだ甲斐がありました。
お母様は折り紙×レジンの作家さんだそうで、今回のワークショップの運営が参考になったとのこと。
自画自賛できるものではありませんが、そう言ってくださり嬉しいです。

Her brothers were also interested in my works, so it was worth it to bring a lot!
And her mom is a resin creator, and said that my management in this workshop was so helpful for her seminar in the future.
It was so happy to meet such a nice friends!

少々駆け足になってしまいましたが、レポートは以上です！
外国の方と折り紙をするのは本当に久しぶりで、不安もありましたが、フタを開けてみると本当に楽しく充実した一日でした。
やはりリアルイベントはいいですね〜！
I've reported the workshop for short.
It has been a long time since I play origami with foreign guests and I worried about that, but finally it was really enjoyable and satisfying day.
After all face-to-face event is exceptional!
何より、会場にいるみんなに笑顔があふれていて、心からこの日を楽しんでいました。私もたくさん元気をもらいました。
私自身も10代の頃にジュニアリーダーやボランティアなどを色々やっていたので、それを思い出して懐かしい気分にもなり。
コロナ禍で制限されていた交流の機会がどんどん復活して、こうした笑顔が増えていくといいですね。
More than everything, all participants were smiling brightly and enjoyed thoroughly. I was also empowered a lot.
I belonged to some volunteer organizations when I was a teenager, so I felt nostalgia to remind that.
The opportunities to interact restricted by COVID are gradually restarted, I hope such a smile increases.
最近は新規のご依頼も増えてきて、活気の戻りを実感しています。
それに、来月はいよいよ４年ぶりのコンベンション開催ですね。楽しみすぎる！
These days the opportunities to receive requests for origami seminars have increased, I feel our life is getting lively.
And more, next month Origami convention is coming after four years. I can't wait!!!
今年は間違いなく「当たり年」になりそうです。
英会話、もっとできるようにならなきゃな…
I'm sure this year will be exciting! And I wonder I have to learn English more...
