第29回折紙探偵団コンベンション
後半【講習編】です！
Welcome to Atelier masanii.
29th Origami Tanteidan Convention held in Aug10th-11st, I'll report about 【Workshop】, continued from last post 【Exhibition】.
前半【全体・ギャラリー編】では、イベントの全容と流れ、会場に飾られた圧巻の作品たちをご紹介しました。コタさんの個展「rose impact」も素晴らしかったですね〜。

The last time I showed you about the stunning origami works that were displayed in the venue.
And "rose impact", the first solo exhibition by Kota, was also wonderful wasn't it?
後半【講習編】では、コンベンションの目玉である「折り紙教室」の様子をお届けします。
土曜２２コマ、日曜２８コマ、２日間で合計５０コマ（！）のうち、私が参加した６コマの作品をご紹介。
This time I'll report about the highlight of this event "Special lectures".
There were 50 classes, 22 on Saturday, and 28 on Sunday. And I'll show you 6 models that I joined bellow.

まずは、本イベントの講習がどんな風に行われるのか、ざっくり解説していきます！
First of all, I'll explain the overview of these classes and how we choose them.
■講習の全体像
７つの会場が開設され、当時進行で異なる講習が次々と行われます。
講習の時間は１コマ５０分。作品によっては２コマ（約２時間）のものもあり、それらは大体ハイレベルです。
１週間ほど前にメールでプログラムが届き、時間割や講師名＆作品名、難度などの情報が出てきます。
■Overview
There're 7 rooms and different classes are held separately.
Each class has 50min. Some have two classes in a row, most of them are difficult.
About one week before the event, we receive an e-mail and almost all information are released. Timetable, lecturers' name, models, and difficulties.
■受ける講習の決まり方
当日、エントランスに講習作品の「現物」が展示されます（めちゃ混む）。
受付で配付された名札に「整理番号」が印字され、その順番の早い順に、各講習のチケットをゲットするのです。
土曜に早い番号を持ってる人は、日曜は後の方。土曜に遅かった人は、日曜に早い番号をゲットできる仕組みです。
整理番号はエントリーの早さが関係あるのかは謎ですが、こんな感じで不公平感なく講習を受けられます。
ちなみに、神谷哲史さんなどの人気作家が行う講習は速攻で完売します。「◯◯さん受付終了で〜す！」というアナウンスに怯えながら、自分の番を待つわけです。
■Which class can we join
In the venue, there are all models that wil be played in each class.
We received a numbers-assigned nametag, and line up in numerical order to get the ticket.
People who got earlier number on Saturday has later number on Sunday.
I don't know how the numbers are decided, anyway it doesn't feel us unfairness.
By the way the class by popular creators such as Mr. Satoshi Kamiya are usually sold out soon.
People who's waiting own turn must be worried about the announce "◯◯'s class has sold out!".
■講習のレベル
５段階あります。解説はあくまでも主観です。
★〜★★
ビギナーでも楽しく折れる感じ。シンプル＆かわいい。
時間が余ることもしばしばで、他の作品も教えてくれたり、歓談タイムがあったり、和やかなムードでやれます。
★★★
ガチ勢はサクッとできそう（油断は禁物）。
いわゆる一般の人（コンベンションに来る時点でキミたちは非該当です）は「うわっ難ッ」と感じるレベルです。
リアル系ではない、折り紙らしさが残るユニークな作品はこのあたりに集まっている印象があります。
★★★★
複雑系の気配。沈め折りなどのトリッキーな折り方が結構出てきます。
講師も「できるでしょ？」的な感じでガンガン指示を飛ばしてきます。ビギナーがうっかり参加して泣きを見る光景は恒例です。
ぶっちゃけ私も本気スイッチが入る。
★★★★★
ゴリマッチョオリガミスト以外が下手に手を出すと地獄の業火に焼かれます。少なくとも私は遠慮したい。
完成できず脱落する人も結構いるんじゃないか。
そういえば、今年はこのレベルがなかったですね。
■Difficulty in each class
There're five levels. I'll explain from my view.
★〜★★
Enjoyable also for beginners, simple & cute.
There's often surplus time so instructor sometimes teaches another model or talks freely. Moderately peaceful.
★★★
Easy for experts but sometimes struggle.
For beginners or ordinal players feel difficult.
There're many models that have non-complex and origami-like texture.
★★★★
Most models are complex, we must do some tricky action like "sink".
instructors always require such techniques, beginners might struggle a lot. I usually get serious.
★★★★★
Beginners will be killed. Even I hesitate to join
I think there may be many people drop out.
This year there was no class.
どのレベルでも、お互いに教え合ったり、講師の方が一人一人見て回ったり、「皆で頑張って完成させよう！」という雰囲気があります。
星４の講習で「沈め折りがまったく分からない」とか、明らかにレベルが合っていない場合は厳しいけれど（さすがに隣の人に頼り切ってしまうのは、その人がかわいそうです）。
私も、周囲の人に助けられることも多いです。逆に困っている人がいたらサポートしてあげたい。お互い様ということで。
ところで、「私もこうやって助けてもらいましたから」とカッコ良く言ったときに限って、次のステップで狼狽するのは何の因果でしょうか。
In each class, participants teach each other, or instructor takes care of them, unless player joins with inappropriate level. Of course I got help from many people, so I'll support the others.
続きまして、２日間で私が受けた講習をおさらいしていきましょう。
Next, I'll report about the class that I joined.
☘️☘️１日目／DAY1☘️☘️
■１コマ目
合谷哲哉さん「シャーロック・ホームズ」
折り紙４枚の複合作品。
この造形を一枚で作るとかなりの難度になりそうですが、４枚使う事でグッと簡単になっています。それにしても、あまりにも簡単でびっくり。そして、驚くべきホームズ感。
パイプはセルフサービスだったので、帰宅後に作りました。
■Day1①
"Sherlock Holmes" by Tetsuya Gotani
This model is amazingly easy by being made of four papers. If it's made of one, will be pretty difficult.
We didn't make a pipe during this class, so I make it at home.
■２コマ目
加藤眸さん「アルパカ」
Tommyさんらしさが詰まった、シンプル＆キュートなアルパカ。
５ヶ月前に僭越ながら折り図のレビューをさせていただいた作品。こうしてご本人から教われるのは光栄です。
■Day1②
"Alpaca" by Hitomi kato
He's good at creating such simple & cute models.
Fortunately I've tested the diagram of this five month ago, so it was an honor to join his own class!
時間が余った人には、Tommyさんの折り図がランダムで当たる「ＱＲガチャ」が用意され、こちらも大ウケでした。
私が当たったのは「馬（Horse 2023）」。かわいい。
Participants who finished early are distributed another diagram on his QRcode at random.
It was also fun, I got "Horse 2023". So nice!
３・４コマ目はパスしてコタさんの展示に行ったので、１日目のレッスンはこれにて終了。
I skipped lesson③④ and went to Kota's exhibition, that's all.
☘️☘️２日目／DAY2☘️☘️
■１コマ目
荒牧遼太郎さん「くたくたコーギー」
タイトルからもう最高。
CAFE RICCOで日頃大変お世話になっている荒牧さんの作品です。
当日、荒牧さんが着ていたコーギーＴシャツは「うちの犬です」とのこと。イカしてる。
顔のパーツを残して時間が来てしまいましたが、配布された折り図をもとにサクッと完成。
参加者への声かけや、部分図の用意など、指導面でも参考になるポイントが多かったです。
■Day2①
"Tired Corgi" by Ryotaro Aramaki
He's a friend of mine that we've met him at "CAFE RICCO".
He showed his "Corgi T-shirt", and told us "My pet". Like it!
The time ran out with head detail, but he distributed us the diagram. So I could finish at home.
He paid attention to the participants, or prepared some examples with large size, I learned a lot in terms of instruction.

■２コマ目
キム・ドンヒョンさん「アオガエル」
★★★★（レベル４）の上級者向け講習。専用フェブサイトにアクセスし、各自で折り図を見ながら進めていく形式でした。
沈め折りの連発はともかく、折り図の読解や細部の処理は中々のハードモードでした。
私も胸を張って上級者といえるレベルじゃないことを実感。
何とか完成できたものの、クオリティがあまりにも悲惨だったので、折り直したのがコチラ。
う〜ん、もうちょい何か、アレだよね。アレンジしたのは蛇足だったかも…
作者本人の名誉のために、お手本ものっけときます（２枚目）。かわいい。
■Day2②
"Tree Frog" by Kim Dong Hyeon
Lv.4 for experts.
Instructor guided us a website and we played along it on own.
It was tough to interpret diagram or process the details, I realized my skill is still not enough. I barely completed but the quality was poor, so I retried. Perhaps I wonder that I added excessive finishing.
The 2nd photo is an example by instructor, so nice.
講師のキム・ドンヒョンさんですが、４年前に折った「Temple dragon」の作者だったことが判明。ご本人にお礼をお伝えしたら「I remember your post.（その投稿、覚えてる！）」と言ってくれて嬉しかったです。

It turned out that Mr. Kim Dong Hyeon, the instructor was a creator of "Temple dragon" which I introduced four years ago. I expressed my gratitude to him, and fortunately he told me "I remember your post"!
■３・４コマ目
エカテリーナ・ルカシェヴァさん「Gothica Cube」
折り紙とは思えない「曲線折り」が美しいユニット作品。
いわゆる「丸ごて」を使って紙に窪みをつけ、自由自在な折り線をデザインする技法です。
これはスゲェ！と意気込んで臨んだら、オール英語の講習が通訳ナシで始まり、これはヤベェ！に変わりました。以下、現場からの中継です。
"Gothica Cube" Ekaterina Lukasheva
Beautiful curved units that it doesn't look like origami.
Dent paper by using a round-tip trowel, the creases can be drew freely.
I was impressed and joined with enthusiasm, but it was so tough, all English & no translater.
I'll report that situation bellow.
時間ギリギリに入室したら、会場はほぼ満席。
遅れてきた外国人参加者に「その辺に席あるよ」とか適当な英語で案内していたら…
「アナタ、隣に座ってあげなさい！」と、日本語が分からない彼女（のちに「クララさん」と知る）のアシストをすることに。
いや、アシストは良いんだけどさ…皆が思うほど喋れないのよ、英語。ほんとに。
When I entered the room just before the start, it was almost full. While I announced to the foreign participants to have a vacant seat...
A participants call me to sit next to her, so I was assigned her assistant.
Wait, my english is so poorer than you expect, I'm serious!
隣でアシストは、まぁいいんだけど。
問題はここからです。
経緯は覚えていないのですが、気付いたら講師の隣でアシスタントやってました。
以下、当時の心境です。
だから、そんなに喋れないのよ、ほんと。俺の英語力ピークは高１だぞ？確かに英語でブログ書いてるけど、リスニングだめなのよ。先月のワークショップでも外国人青年と意思疎通できずに凹んだばっかりじゃないの。てか何でオンナ口調なの。そりゃ上手くなりたいけどよ、まだ早ぇだろ通訳とか。他にペラペラな人いるだろ、一人くらい。頼むから名乗り出てくれよ、な？
…というのが、今だから言える胸の内です。
右上の空には「なんで俺がこんなことに…」という文字がゴシック体で浮かんでいました。Gothicaだけに。
It may be fine in assisting with one-on-one translation, but there was a problem.
I don't remember the circumstances, I ended up standing as an assistant instructor.
Here's what I thought:
I told, my english is poor, I'm serious, I've already reached my peak of english skill as a teenager, now not, actually I've been writing my blog in english but can't listen at all. Last month I was disappointed that I couldn't communicate with foreign youths. Of course I want to improve but not enough to be assigned as a translater, are there anyone suitable people in this room, at least one? YOU!! WHY ME!?
結果。
ルカシェバ先生の指示を聞きながら、私の主観をたっぷり混ぜて解説・実演するスタイルを敢行。
いたく寛容な参加者の皆様のおかげで、何とか怒涛の２時間を乗り切ることができました。お粗末様でしたが、なかなか得難い貴重な経験です！！！
さすがに６枚すべてのパーツは終わらず、２〜３個にとどまった印象。曲線の「型紙」と展開図をヒントに、残りは宿題となりました。
みんなしっかり作ってくれれば良いのですが。
As a result, I explained & demonstrated with my subjective viewpoint, while listening teacher's instruction.
Thanks to the generous & kind participants, I managed to run for two hours. I might not be able to play my role enough, but it was reality meaningful & precious experience!!!
Even spending two hours we couldn't finish all six parts, most of them finally could make a few. I hope all of them to continue at home.

今まで全くやったことのないスタイル、これを機にゲットしよう！！
と思ったら。
Her official textbook "Curved Origami", she told us that we can get it on Amazon.
I must buy, must tried such a style that I've never done!
I thought, however...
通訳のお礼にプレゼントされました。しかもサイン入り。
まさかのオチに、全てが報われたのでした。英語勉強しよ。
It's amazing, she gave it to me as a gift, with her autograph!
I was so happy that my efforts were realized in this way. I'll be do my best from now on!
■５コマ目
木村良寿さん「戦闘機 イーグルウィングＴ，Ｃ」
先程のGothica Cubeの通訳で、荒牧さんの「くたくたコーギー」さながらにクタクタになった私。
★★（レベル２）の作品は、くたにぃ（元まさにぃ）にとってちょうど良くエンジョイできました。
垂直尾翼やジェットノズルなどの細部をカスタムでき、時間内に２パターンが完成。15cmで手乗りサイズになり、仕上がりもいい感じ。
■Day2③④
"Jet Fighter EagleWing T,C" by Yoshihisa Kimura
This class was Lv.2, suitable for exhausted masanii like "Tired Corgi". I enjoyed a lot.
We can adjust the details such as Vertical stabilizer or Jet nozzle, I could finish two models on time. It became moderate size with 15cm square paper, I like it!
講師の木村さん、以前ブログで紹介した「おりがみのはこどうぶつ」の著者でもありました。お礼言っとけば良かった。

It turned out that Mr. Kimura, the instructor was the author of a textbook that I've introduced in the past. I should have talked to him!
