ワインボトルに折り紙のバラを活ける〜佐藤ローズ×Stella Parvus〜／Origami rose with wine bottle

アトリエまさにぃへ、ようこそ。

２年前に展示していた「ニューモダンローズ」が、ようやく我が家に帰ってきました。
"New modern rose" which were in the exhibition until two years ago came back home.

足立区・CAFE RICCOに展示していた、赤系４色・青系４色のヴィヴァルディからなる豪華なバラたち。
長らく保管していただき、ありがとうございました。（当時の写真）

Gorgeous roses made of 8 colors, four red & four blue Vivaldi.
They were displayed at a special exhibition in CAFE RICCO Adachi-ku, Tokyo.
I thank staffs to store them for a long time.

お蔵入りさせるのも勿体ないので、飾り直してあげたいな…
と、いうことで。
この日のために、特別な花瓶をご用意いたしました。
夜空に輝く美しい星々。
チリワイン「Stella Parvus」です！

It's sad to waste them, so I decided to display in another way.
I prepared a special vase!
Stars shining in the night,
Chilean wine "Stella Parvus".

Stella Parvus（ステラ パルヴス）は、ファミマで普通に売ってる赤ワイン。
その名はラテン語で「小さな星」を意味します。
たまたま立ち寄った際に見かけて、このビン欲しさに衝動買いしてしまいました。
お値段は税込848円。めちゃ安。

Stella Parvus is red wine commonly sold at convenience stores "Family Mart".
The name means "Small Star" in Latin.
I bought it on impulse when I entered by chance, for the purpose of a bottle.
And more it was ¥848, reasonable!'

ワインのジャケ買い。
（言ってみたかっただけ）
The label forced me to buy.

いや、普段あんまり飲まないんですけどね…
慣れない家飲みにフラつきつつ、２週間ほどかけてようやく飲み干すことができました。
I rarely drink at home...
I drank it up over two weeks, while staggering.

お味はというと…おいしいです！
コンビニのワイン、見直しました。
やや重め＆やや辛め。ゴクゴク飲む感じではないけれど、クセがないのでサラサラ飲めます。
少しずつ口に運んで、風味を楽しむ感じでしょうか。

It was delicious!
I changed my mind about convenience store's wine.
It was moderately heavy & dry, so I could drink smoothly and enjoy flavors, not drinking a lot at once.

飲み終わったあとは、ラベルが濡れないよう慎重に洗います。
転倒防止のビー玉を入れたら、準備完了です。

After drinking, I washed the bottle  carefully so that it would not get wet.
And put glass balls in it to prevent tipping over, got readied!

バラの底につける「ガク」をこしらえます。

Next, I made "Calyx" that attaches the bottom of rose.

作り方は、バラ本体と同じテキスト「１枚の紙から作る バラの折り紙」の62-63ページに載っています。
今回のニューモダンローズのほか、ハイブリッドティーローズ、基本の五角バラにも使えます。

Diagram is in the first works by Naomiki Sato (page 62-63), same as today's rose.
This Calyx can be attached not only today's  "New modern rose", but also "Hybrid tea rose" and "Basic pentagon rose".

素材はトーヨーのタント15cm。
全12種類の緑色から、花の色に合いそうなものをチョイスしました。

The material is 15cm×15cm Tant paper produced by Toyo company.
I chose 4 colors that seem to fit flowers from 12 colors of green.
花単体でも十分にきれいなのですが、ガクを付けると一層バラらしくなるんですよね。
そのまま置いても、ケースに詰めても良し。
贈り物としても、大変喜ばれます。

The rose alone is beautiful enough, but it looks more real rose if the calyx is attached.
It's useful as ornaments, and nice to pack in a box. You also can present as a gift!

「バラだけで手一杯」という声も聞こえてきそうですが、もうひと頑張りしてみませんか？

続いて「茎」を作っていきます。
こちらは、過去に買った「地巻ワイヤー」の残り物を使いました。

Next, I made stems.
I used leftover wires that I bought in the past.

セットは簡単。
先端をヘアピン状に曲げて、上から刺すだけ。
ゆるめに曲げておき、最後まで入ったらキュッと締めるのがオススメです。
花に付ける際は、反時計回りにねじりながら入れましょう。
タービン状の先端がカッチリはまってくれます。

It's easy.
Simply bend the wire tip in advance and pierce from the top.
You'd better to bend the tip gently in advance, and tighten when inserted completely.
To the petal, attach screwing in counterclockwise.
Turbine-like shape tip suits firmly.

本当は「葉」をつけたり、フローラテープを巻いたりしたいのですが…
In truth, I wanted to wrap stems with green tape and add leaves...

めんど…いや、今回はこのままの方が全体的にスッキリするでしょう。
ほ、ほら、ビンが細めだし！
全体のシルエットを考えての結果ですから…ねっ！
Bothersome... No, it's better because the whole silhouette looks slim!
Bottle is also slim, so I considered the total balance, right!?

さて、最後は束ねてブーケにします。
当初は、
・AZURE BLUE（アジュールブルー）
・PRIMARY BLUE（プライマリーブルー）
・TURQUOISE BLUE（ターコイズブルー）
・SKY BLUE（スカイブルー）
この４色を４個ずつ配置し、２４個の花束にする予定でした。
展示に出していた青いバラたちを、フル活用する形です。

Finally, bandle flowers and make bouquet.
Originally I supposed to use 4 flowers of 4 colors each,
・AZURE BLUE
・PRIMARY BLUE
・TURQUOISE BLUE
・SKY BLUE
and make bouquet of 24 flowers.
I thought using all blue roses that are displayed in the past exhibition is an ideal way.

ところが、全部ぶっ刺してみるとバランスが悪いのなんの…
どうしてもスッキリしません。
「束ねりゃ良い」というワケにはいかないのが難しいところですね。
However, the total balance wasn't good when I put them all.
It couldn't be set neatly in any way.
It's difficult that I can't make it well just by bandling flowers.

そこで作戦変更。
「間引き」をします。
ターコイズを全部引っこ抜いて、スカイ・プライマリー・アジュールを３－４－３の配置で並べることにしました。

So I decided to carry out "thinning out".
I removed all TURQUOISE BLUE and arranged SKY, PRIMARY, AZURE in the ratio of 3-4-3.

それから、高さの調整。
正面からキレイに見えるように、手前を低く、奥を高く。ワイヤーを３段階で固定します。

Next, height adjustment.
I fixed wires in 3 stages while lowering the front and lifting the back, so that the front looks beautiful.

最後は、ビー玉を敷いたビンに突き刺して完成。
シルエットもいい感じです。
ワイヤーが細いから少々フラフラするけど、良しとしましょう。
青系のワインボトルとも、相性バッチリです！

I put aforementioned bouquet to the bottle which is full of glass balls. COMPLETED!!
Blue roses have perfect compatibility with blue bottle!

２年前のニューモダンローズを再利用、ワインボトルに「活けて」みました。
当時はキャンバスに貼り付けて１枚の絵を作りましたが、生まれ変わった姿を見られて満足しています。
I reused New modern roses, and challenged to use a wine bottle.
2 years ago, I glued all roses on a canvas and made a picture. And I'm satisfied that I could see them as a reborn appearance.

そうそう。
お気付きの方もいらっしゃるかと思いますが…
まだ、赤いバラもあるんですよね。
どんな風に仕上げようか、じっくり画策中です。楽しみにしていてくださいね。

As you're already realized, red roses are still left.
