夏もあっという間に過ぎ去り、いつの間にか布団が恋しい季節になってしまいました。
長袖シャツを通り越して、コートを引っ張り出すようですね。
朝のコーヒーも、そろそろホットに切り替えないとおなかに悪そうです。
皆さんも風邪を召されませんよう、気をつけてお過ごしください。
Summer has passed quickly, and soon the season has come, that we always want to stay in bed.
Recently I even thought about preparing a winter coat. I take an iced coffee every morning, but I'll switch to hot one not to upset stomach.
And you, please be careful not to catch a cold.
さて、今日の作品は「あさがお」。
五角形のリングが青色、その中心が白色になるように配置を考えました。
三角錐のカドには、オフホワイトを。
全体的に淡〜い、砂糖菓子のような風合いに仕上がりました。
Today's model is "Asagao", morning glory.
I considered the placement that each pentagon is surrounded by blue and the center is white.
And ivories were positioned in each triangular pyramid.
Overall it became soft and sugar confection-like appearance.
一見すると普通の多面体ですが…
ほら、よくよく中心を観察すると、アサガオがぼんやり見えます…よね！？
At a glance it seems to be an ordinal polyhedron...
Here, when you observe the center carefully, you can find morning glories appear...can't you!?

出典は、布施知子さんの「はじめてでも組める くす玉おりがみ」です。
ユニット折り紙の入門書かと思いきや、そのバリエーションの多さにびっくり。

I thought that it was just for beginner, but I was surprised at the variation of Kusudama models.

ちなみに今回の素材は、上記の「ネモフィラ」と同じ、セリアの「マーブル」です。
ナチュラルな水色とアイボリー。
派手さはありませんが、優しく控えめな雰囲気がいい感じです。
実はネモフィラを作った当時、間違えて２倍の枚数を揃えてしまい、まるまる１玉分余ってしまったんですよね。
他に良いモデルがないかな〜と探して、行き着いたのが今回の「あさがお」です。
Today's materials are "Marble" sold at Seria store, same as Nemophila I mentioned above.
Natural light blue & ivory aren't flashy but gentle and modest, I like them.
Actually when I made Nemophila, I got the wrong number of petals and prepared twice, so papers just worth of one Kusudama left.
I was looking for something suitable model, and I found today's Asagao.
１：２の長方形を30枚ずつ、2色で60枚。
15cm×15cmを9カットして、それを2等分。2.5cm×5cmが、今回のサイズです。
かなり小さいですが、構造は意外と単純なので、慣れればサクサク作っていけます。
This model requires 30 rectangles (60 sheets in two colors) with 1:2 ratio.
We can prepare them if we cut 15cm×15cm square into nine and divide into two.
In this case, they'll be 2.5cm×5cm each.
The completed model seems to be quite small, but the structure is simple. So unexpectedly I could make smooth.

ベースはアイボリー、フェースは水色です。
朝顔らしく、白色のまわりを青いリボンで囲みたかったので、フェースは裏向きに作りました。
（表向きに作ると、青色の五角形＋白いリボンになります）
"BASE" is ivory, and "FACE" is light blue.
I wanted to surround white pentagon with blue ribbon. So I made FACE with the back side so that they would be a morning glory.
(If you make it with the original side, it'll be blue pentagon & white ribbon.)
フェースの工程3は、工程5で立体的な折り方をするための仕込みです。
コレがなくても、中心線を頼りにすれば結構正確に折れちゃうので、中〜上級者の方はスキップしてOKかと思います。
工程7では、ベースを組んでからタテに折ると、中心が浮いて引っかかるのを防げます。
Step3 in FACE is preparation of step5, three-dimensional folding.
If you're used to, you can skip this step because the center crease will be the guide.
In spep7, you should fold vertically after assembling BASE. If so, you can prevent peeling the edges and disturbing to insert the BASE.
ベースは、斜めに折るだけの単純なつくり。
フェースとベース、それぞれが半ページにおさまるのは素晴らしいですね。
2-3個作ったら、すぐに工程を覚えられました。折りやすいです。
ちなみに完成サイズは、直径６cmくらい。
作業机のお供にピッタリな大きさになりました。
BASE is simple structure that we just need to fold diagonally.
It's nice that FACE & BASE each part fits in one page.
I could memorize the whole process after making a few parts. It's kind for beginners!
The completed size is about 6cm in diameter. It may be suitable for your work desk!

ちょっと季節外れの「あさがお」。
布施知子さんのくす玉おりがみ、３個目のチャレンジでございました。
Morning glory "Asagao", though slightly out of season, how was it?
This was 3rd trial of Kusudama designed by Tomoko Fuse.
色の組み合わせ次第で、多彩な表情を見せてくれるユニット折り紙。
本作のような「２枚組」は、色を反対にするだけでも印象が変わりそうですね。
100均で買いっぱなしの絵柄があふれかえっているので、今後も楽しく活用できそうです。
（↑コレ、あるあるですよね！？）
Kusudama units show us various appearance depending on the combination of colors.
2 colors model like today's would change the impression just by switching.
I have an overflowing materials, so they can be used effectively.
(You also have a case like this, right!?)
蒸し暑い日々はどこへやら。
湿気で紙がたわむ心配も、手汗の心配もない、折り紙には良い季節です。
